Where Is Your Trust?

What in your life are you not trusting God with? Is it the future or health of your children, which brings you anxiety each time you think of it? Is it how you’re going to pay your electric bill when you just received the shut off notice? Is it whether or not you’ll ever find that man that loves God, has your same ideals and will accept you completely for who you are…children and all? Is it the uncertainty of your own future? If any of these things or similar, are thoughts or fears that run through your mind, it is evidence that your trust is not in the right place. Instead it proves that your trust is in the flesh. You’re placing your trust in what you’re able to control or not control and in those things you cannot foresee.
Placing our trust in God is a deliberate and intentional act that most times has to be renewed on a daily or even hourly basis. Many times as soon as a fear or negative thought pops into my mind, I have to remind myself “…my trust is in you God. My trust is in God. God you are so sovereign. You love me. You said you would provide. You are in control….”

“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.” (Lam. 3:22-23)

“We are NOT consumed…” by our life, our circumstances, or our troubles, because we have a merciful and compassionate God who will NEVER allow us to be consumed by these things if we were to just put our trust in Him! Everyday, despite what you might be facing…everyday, He has new mercies and compassion for you and your situation. When you wake up in the mornings, all you have to do is reach out, acknowledge Him and receive His mercies and compassion. He is faithful to deliver. GREAT is His faithfulness! He is faithful to see you through, even though what you might be going through may seem endless and you can’t see the light.

If you feel you caused your situation and that you deserve what you’re going through….know that He is still faithful and still has compassion for you and is SO merciful. Receive His mercy instead of living in condemnation.

Daily, grab on to His compassion and mercies and allow Him to fill you up with what you need for that day.  Seek Him to give you the wisdom, answers and peace concerning your situation.

God is so faithful. Should you choose to put ALL your trust in Him, you will certainly find that He is a faithful friend, faithful daddy, faithful husband, faithful provider…and that He is faithful in EVERY way.

Before getting out of bed, simply just say, “Lord, I know you love me and I receive your love, mercies and compassion. Give me your wisdom and understanding. Fill me up this day with joy. Thank you for your faithfulness. Help me to be faithful to you as well. Amen.”

Thank you May. Even us seasoned believers need to be reminded that God is in control. Sending a child to college is a difficult time in my life. While excited for her new beginning, it’s a time of letting go & trusting in the Lord that he will take care of her. The reality is that my daughter belongs to God anyway, she is precious in his eyes and he can provide much more for her than I ever could.

Yes, Janette so true! We have to place our trust in Him in all these things.
