He Is ALWAYS Faithful

Is God Faithful in those times when things aren’t working out as they should be in your life? Or what about when you just feel “stuck” someplace in your life, like you’re unable to progress and move forward; or move past something really difficult – even though you’ve been seeking God and asking for help for a long while now.  But you hear nothing, see nothing and feel nothing.  So you think to yourself, what does the silence mean? Is God just not hearing or seeing me? Does He not care? Why would He allow me to stay in this for so long? Isn’t He “mighty to save”?

“He who calls you is faithful…” 2 Thess. 5:24

When we’re in these situations, we’re so quick to ask all kinds of questions in our hearts and question God.   However, despite it all, we need to know with all our heart, that God is Faithful.  He is ALWAYS Faithful.  It’s so easy to think and feel that He’s turned a blind eye or deaf ear on your circumstances and prayers, but the truth is that He has NOT.  No matter what you’re going through or experiencing, you must remind yourself that He is Faithful and that He sees it all, He cares, and knows all things

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23

So what do you do in the meantime, while waiting on God?

1.       Be at peace knowing that God is for you and He said He would NEVER leave you or forsake you.  “I will never leave you or forsake you.” Heb. 13:5

2.       Let your mind rest in that truth and then simply just ask Him to show you what He is teaching you during this time.  He is always teaching us and maturing us spiritually as we humble our hearts before him and surrender to Him and His will.  Maybe He is trying to work something out of you…ask and He will for sure reveal things to you.

“..that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.” Eph. 1:17

3.       Daily and throughout your day, declare His faithfulness.  Thank Him for His faithfulness in your life…The very fact that you are alive and breathing is a testament of His faithfulness in your life today, along with many other things that you certainly can attribute to His faithfulness.

“I have declared Your faithfulness and Your Salvation…” Ps. 40:10

4.       Ask yourself the real question, “Am I being faithful to God?”  Are you going to be faithful to Him during the silence?  Are you going to persevere in your faithfulness and trust Him even when it seems as if He has forgotten you?  Are you going to keep praising Him, seeking Him, and pursing Him? Those are acts of our faithfulness.  Giving up, negative thinking, not praying “as much”, and living in discouragement are acts of unfaithfulness.

“Be faithfulgodisfaithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.” Rev. 2:10

Being faithful to God means that you continue to actively praise and give thanks Him; pursue Him by reading the Word and praying; trust Him, and have faith that He WILL come through; love Him relentlessly; encourage yourself with the Word, and do not allow discouragement to set in.  God is ALWAYS faithful and He Always comes through…Be encouraged!

“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.  “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I hope in Him!” Lam. 3:22
